We have designed several large scale boiler replacements for sheltered housing schemes accross th UK on behalf of our client, Brittish Gas. The boiler house replacements projects were to replace old inefficient boiler rooms, at the end of their useful life. Our remit was to survey the existing boiler rooms, conduct energy studies and select suitable replacement plant. We produced fully detailed layouts and schematics, complete with detailed pre-fabrication drawings. The detail of our (fully scaled) pre-fabrication drawings enabled British Gas to pre-order and pre-fabricate most of the plant, thereby reducing installation time and associated overheads.
